Lovely staff, great food (prawns as starter, fish&chips as main) - no beer… but good wine selection. Dropped in for a coffee the next morning, with apple pie. Also very good

This place is a gem! My wife and I stopped by for a coffee during a self guided trip around the Beara Peninsula. They were closed for some off season work, but they saw us through the door and took pity on us and opened up to serve us. Not only was the coffee delicious, but they spent time making thoughtful recommendations for routes and stops for the rest of our tour, all of which worked out great. Don’t miss this place if you’re passing through!

Excellent food and drinks. Great for ceoliacs. We had the gluten-free fish and chips and cauliflower pakora which were really delicious as was the gluten-free carrot cake.

Fantastic food quality, nice blend of well executed classics (burgers, Caesar, curries) with contemporary seafood (fresh prawns, roast monkfish, crab salad). Desserts are divine, as you can see from the scraps left. Great staff, lovely atmosphere with a view across the urhan valley. Causkeys bar is great for a pint afterwards.

The owner owns a few places around Castletownbere all of which really keep gluten free in mind inclusive of coeliac precautions. I had the hash I think it was called and they added chorizo. They also had some waffle batter which they make gf and they are incredible, will add pictures below. They have a food truck, beara barista, which also does the waffles at summer time worth tracking them down! Really appreciate their understanding and options available!
